Channing Tatum and Michael Shannon replaced by Adam Drive are starring in Soderbergh’s return to directing.

Steven Soderbergh’s top-secret directorial project Logan Lucky is building up its cast as the hot package is shopped in Cannes.

Riley Keough, who stars in the TV series The Girlfriend Experience (which is executive produced by Soderbergh), has joined the cast.

Soderbergh, who hasn’t helmed a movie since 2013’s medical thriller Side Effects, is returning to directing with Logan Lucky, which has been shrouded in secrecy since it first broke ahead of the Berlin Film Festival in February. The director has never officially confirmed he’ll be breaking out of his self-declared retirement, but Filmnation is selling international rights in Cannes.

Channing Tatum and Michael Shannon will star in the project, playing brothers who plan a heist during a high-profile NASCAR race. Gregory Jacobs, Mark Johnson and Reid Carolin are producing.

Keough collaborated with Soderbergh for the first time when she appeared in 2012’s Magic Mike, which he directed. She now stars in Starz’s The Girlfriend Experience, which is based on Soderbergh’s 2009 film. She will be seen in American Honey, which is playing in Cannes, and she stars with Jena Malone in Lovesong. Repped by WME and Thirty Three Management, Keough’s other credits include Mad Max: Fury Road.

Today was the release of the first official poster of ‘American Honey’ and the movie’s screening at Cannes Film Festival 2016 will be on May 15th.

“American Honey” (Andrea Arnold). The British director, who was invited to serve on the Cannes jury in 2012, has earned her fair share of honors from the festival, claiming jury prizes for both “Red Road” and “Fish Tank” in official competition. Her latest — and her first-ever American film — follows a group of young people who travel the country selling magazine subscriptions and making trouble, starring Sasha Lane, Shia LaBeouf and Riley Keough. A24 plans to release later this year.

Great news. Riley has a new upcoming project called: ‘The Discovery’. More information below. (everything about Riley is in bold)

Jesse Plemons also has joined the cast, which includes Rooney Mara and new addition Jason Segel.

Riley Keough is heading back to the futuristic. The Mad Max: Fury Road star has signed on for Charlie McDowell’s sci-fi film The Discovery.

Black Mass’ Jesse Plemons also has joined the cast, which is headed up by Rooney Mara, Robert Redford and Jason Segel (Earlier this week, Segel replaced Nicholas Hoult, who dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.)

Written by McDowell and Justin Lader, the film is set in a world two years after the existence of an afterlife has been scientifically proven, resulting in millions of people taking their own lives, believing that suicide is like pushing a reset button. Segel will play the son of the man responsible for the discovery (Redford). Mara will play a woman whom Segel’s character falls in love with and whose life is tinged by a tragic past. Keough will play an lab intern working with Redford’s character, and Plemons is onboard as the brother of Segel’s character.

The film begins shooting in Rhode Island later this month.

Keough, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley, has seen her star rise in recent months thanks to her turn in Mad Max and her buzzy upcoming Starz series The Girlfriend Experience from executive producer Steven Soderbergh. The sexy series, which bows in April, caused a stir at Sundance, where the first four episodes premiered. Keough also starred in the Sundance Competition film Lovesong.

Verisimilitude’s Alex Orlovsky (The Place Beyond the Pines) and Endgame Entertainment’s James D. Stern (Looper, An Education) are producing The Discovery, which was financed by Endgame and Protagonist Pictures. Julie Goldstein and Lucas Smith are overseeing the project for Endgame. Mike Goodridge, Dimitra Tsingou and Eddie Vaisman are shepherding for Protagonist.

The Discovery marks McDowell’s second feature film following his critically acclaimed 2014 drama The One I Love.

Keough is repped by WME and LBI.

Plemons, who starred opposite Molly Shannon in the Sundance Opening Night film Other People, is handled by TalentWorks and attorney David Matlof

ICM Partners and WME Global packaged the project and are representing domestic rights for the film. Protagonist is handling international sales.

Congratulations to the Mad Max Family on their 6 wins yesterday. Well deserved!
